Add the Remove a Color effect

With your video open in Camtasia, drag the Remove a Color effect from the tools panel to the clip on the timeline.

Fine tune the properties

Adjust the following sliders to make the end result look as real as possible. Start by adjusting the tolerance and then work your way down the list below.

Tolerance: Increase or decrease the range of tints and shades related to the color you removed.

Softness: Smooth out pixelation and rough edges of color that remain around what is left.

Defringe: Move the slider slightly left or right to make any remaining color less noticeable.

Hue: Adjust the color of the clip to better match a new background.

Invert: Reverse the color removal and hide everything except the color you removed

Make sure it’s on a track below the edited clip, and preview the video to make sure everything looks how you want it.
